What happens in a session
You sit down at a wheel with a bag of stoneware and somebody beside you who has done this a few thousand times. Most people centre their first pot in about forty minutes, and spend the rest of the afternoon making the second one better.
Three afternoons, start to shelf

Throwing
Wheel work from the first minute. You will make four or five pieces and keep the two you like.

Trimming
A week later, when the clay is leather-hard. This is the afternoon that turns a lump into a bowl.

Glazing
You choose from nine glazes mixed here. Everything goes into the kiln that evening.
The studio
Two wheels, a slab roller and a kiln that has been running since 2016. The room takes six people and no more, because a throwing class of twenty is a demonstration with a queue.
Everything on the shelves was made here. If you want something that is not in the shop, ask — commissions take about six weeks.

Book a weekend
Dates go up at the start of each month and usually fill in a week or so. Everything is included: ten kilos of stoneware, both firings, and the pots at the end.
